The NetSuite Data Exporter is a Google Sheet Add-on, created by GURUS Solutions, that helps companies automate the process of exporting NetSuite Saved Searches to Google Sheets/ Excel.
The Data Exporter allows you to connect to your NetSuite account with the provided credentials, run specified Saved Searches, and export the results into Excel spreadsheets. It also supports additional filters on existing Saved Searches to further refine the results.

In order to begin using the Data Exporter, you need the Data Exporter bundle in NetSuite to be activated, or the tool will not work. Therefore, please wait for confirmation from a member of the GURUS Solutions team stating that your bundle has been activated.
If your bundle has not been activated, you’ll likely get the following error message:

Essentially, how the NetSuite to Google Sheets Data Exporter works is that it installs part of the application on NetSuite, and another part on Google, which links with NetSuite. The application uses Google as a trigger to bring information in.
Using an account ID or search IDs that you put in the field, NetSuite takes the information and pushes it into Google Sheets.

- Saved Search Limits If you are using the NetSuite Data Exporter with a Limited License, the tool allows you to request 2 Saved Searches at a time. If you try to request more than 2 Saved Searches, you may see the following error message:
You can easily exclude the extra searches from the list by selecting “yes” in the Skip column. You may also contact us to request an upgrade to your license.
- 10 Requests Per Day You are using a NetSuite Data Exporter with a Limited License, the tool allows you to perform 10 requests per day. If you exceed your daily 10 request limit, you may get the following error message:
You may continue using the Data Exporter on another day, or contact us to request an upgrade to your license.
- Exporting Large Searches
If you are exporting a large NetSuite search (with a large number of search results), it is possible that your integration times out before you can complete the export.
To solve this, Splice, or divide, the search, into parts and then merge the exports into one Google sheet.
- Google Cell Limit
Note that Google Sheets has a limit on the number of cells per sheet. If your export exceeds the number of cells in Google Sheets, your export will be cut off.
- Exporting from NetSuite Sandbox
If you wish to export data from your NetSuite Sandbox, please provide GURUS with your Sandbox user ID when activating the Data Exporter bundle.
- Automating Exports
Automating data exports from NetSuite requires the creation of a custom script that will create time triggers in Google Sheets.

- Setting Up the Data Exporter With Company Permissions
When installing the Data Exporter, please note that setting up the authentication for different roles and permissions within your company can be tricky. Sometimes companies have complex permissions that may require codes or custom script.
