Athen: I'd love to hear from you, Mark. What do you think about what being cutting-edge means in the 21st century?

Mark Paley:  So I mean, there are many different needs that businesses face today but you know, one of the catchphrases that I've always taught my team and I've always tried to exude is; Dunkin Donuts has an expression which has caught on: “America Runs On Dunkin.”

America today may not run on Dunkin but America actually runs on software, POS providers, the commerce platforms. The hub of America is really on software solutions, integrated solutions, etc.

There's been a massive shift between the mom-and-pop store selling their widgets or what have you, and just using the back of a napkin to tally things up, to comprehensive software that's simple, efficient and seamless.
