GURUS Solutions developed Alternate Items to help sales representatives offer more choices to their customers.
GURUS Solutions created this custom solution for a motorcycle repair shop. They often found themselves in a situation where a customer needed an expensive bike part and wanted to offer cheaper alternatives.
Before this solution was created, sales reps needed to memorize this information, as it wasn't officially available anywhere. As new employees were hired, the information was not passed down and their customer service suffered.
To solve this problem, GURUS Solutions created an alternate item solution as well as a wizard that allowed anybody to create alternate items as they came up- meaning all the sales reps had up to date information for their customers.
As an end result, the customer increased their sales close rate because they could offer more options to their customers. Also, employee information sharing was made easy as everybody was able to create alternate items.
